From the heart of Garda Trentino, specifically from Riva del Garda, emerges a touching exhibition: “Painting in the Two World Wars”. An exposition that doesn’t just present works, but tells stories of men, fears and hopes through portraits of soldiers from the First and Second World Wars.
Art as testimony, as an expressive urgency in a time of conflict. The soldiers portrayed, perhaps foreshadowing an uncertain destiny, wished to leave an imprint of themselves. The exhibition aims to unveil the human stories behind each painted face, intertwining the biographies of the subjects portrayed with those of the artists who immortalized those moments.
