Palafittiadi: A Journey Through Time on Lake Ledro

The Garda Trentino events calendar features an engaging invitation to journey into the past. The Palafittiadi, now in its 24th edition, offers a unique opportunity to rediscover the most ancient roots of our history, right on the shores of Lake Ledro. This event is not merely a celebration, but a genuine immersion into the daily life of our prehistoric ancestors.

On July 4, 2026, the Lake Ledro Stilt House Museum will transform into a vibrant village from another era, where participants of all ages can test their skills. Divided into teams, individuals will engage in disciplines inspired by the abilities essential for survival millennia ago: from archery, demanding precision and focus, to weaving and clay working, revealing ancient craftsmanship. There will also be challenges involving grinding, water transport, memory games, and creative tasks, all designed to engage and entertain while offering an authentic glimpse into prehistoric life.

The atmosphere will be further enhanced by music, provided by the Radio Retebusa association, accompanying the day with evocative melodies. The Palafittiadi also mark the beginning of “Palafittando 2026”, the extensive summer program of the Museum and the ReLED network. An entire summer dedicated to archaeology, nature, art, and music, which will enliven the wonderful Ledro Valley. This experience combines learning and enjoyment within a natural setting of rare beauty, making the Palafittiadi an unmissable event for those seeking an authentic emotion and a deep connection with Garda’s history and landscape.
