From June 4 to June 6, 2027, the Riva Cornicello lakeside in Bardolino hosts the Palio del Chiaretto, a renowned food and wine event on Lake Garda. For three days, the town turns pink to celebrate local traditions through tastings and insights into the regional viticulture.
The Palio del Chiaretto is a key event for discovering the Bardolino Chiaretto DOC, produced in the Veronese Garda area, a landscape defined by vineyards and olive groves. This wine is crafted from a blend of grapes, including Corvina Veronese and Rondinella. The vinification process involves a precise separation of the must from the skins to capture the ideal color and aromas, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation. The event also highlights the Brut sparkling wine, the first of its kind in Italy produced with natural fermentation methods.
