Passo Nota: A Journey Through History and Nature in Tremosine

Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of Passo Nota, located on the border between Trentino and Lombardy, in the heart of Tremosine sul Garda. This enchanting area offers a perfect blend of history and nature, with lush forests, green meadows, and remnants of the Great War.

Explore the trenches built by Italian soldiers during World War I and visit the small military cemetery, a place of memory and reflection. The Rifugio degli Alpini di Passo Nota will welcome you with its hospitality and offer an ideal starting point for your excursions.

The circular hike starts from Pur, following the SAT 421 trail through Val Fontanine to Passo Nota. After visiting the military cemetery and the trenches, return to the pass and follow the forest road to Passo Bestana. Finally, descend towards Pur through Val Casarino, admiring the woods that turn into spectacular colors in autumn.
