The festival has its origins in the 13th century, when nobles granted the people the right to catch birds with nets. Hence, the need to create fairs for the sale of nets and specific tools. The Sagra dei Osei in Cisano, a hamlet of Bardolino, gained such notoriety that in 1903 “La Domenica del Corriere” dedicated its cover to it, attesting to its national fame. A unique event to relive the traditions of Bardolino and Lake Garda.
