Kite Trail: A Sensory Experience on the Marzòla
Immerse yourself in a unique adventure on the Kite Trail, a multi-sensory path designed for the visually impaired, located on the western slopes of the Marzòla. Created by the Trento-Sopramonte Forestry Company, this trail offers an inclusive experience in nature.
The path is equipped with wooden handrails, tactile and visual information boards, a consolidated walking surface, and special pavements. Starting from the sunny vineyards of San Rocco, the trail climbs up the slopes of the Marzòla, crossing woods, small springs, and ancient landslides, creating a diverse and stimulating environment.
After overcoming sections with steps, you reach a panoramic terrace overlooking Trento, rich in heather, bearberry, pines, and junipers. Enjoy the sounds of the forest and the wide range of smells and sensory stimuli. Continuing on a wide path, you arrive at Pian dei Bìndesi (620 m), a clearing equipped for rest with benches, tables, and shaded areas. A short distance away is the Rifugio Prati ai Bìndesi, with a breathtaking view of the Val d’Adige, Trento, and the peaks of Monte Bondone with the Brenta in the background.
Attention: The route is temporarily closed due to a landslide. Don’t miss a stop at the Rifugio Bindesi to enjoy Trentino specialties on the panoramic terrace.
