From October 7th to October 14th, 2026, every Wednesday and Thursday, Verona hosts the itinerant performance Silent Dante. This event offers a unique opportunity to retrace the steps of the Supreme Poet, who stayed in the city between 1303-1304 and 1313-1318.
The route begins at the Teatro Nuovo and winds through the historic center’s Dante-related sites, including Piazza Dante and the Scaliger Tombs, which will be exceptionally open during the evening for spectators. The journey continues towards the Biblioteca Capitolare, ending in the evocative cloister of the Duomo, in front of the Church of Saint Elena. Guided by Virgil and Beatrice, the audience will experience a journey blending historical reality and the otherworldly imagination.
