Taking long walks: contemporary art at Casa di Rigoletto

The city of Mantua prepares to host an exhibition project of profound intellectual intensity. From June 27th to July 19th, 2026, the evocative Casa di Rigoletto will present the collective exhibition titled Fare lunghe passeggiate solo perché siamo stanche di camminare (Taking long walks just because we are tired of walking), a project curated by Loredana Galante and Anna Nutini.

The exhibition brings together the works of four talented artists: Elisa Cella, Loredana Galante, Anna Nutini, and Vania Elettra Tam. Inspired by Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet, the exhibition transforms the concept of restlessness into a plural and creative dimension. It is not a destination, but an invitation to slow down, observe, and rediscover the pleasure of reflection through diverse artistic languages—ranging from Cella’s cosmogonic geometries to Galante’s poetic tension, Tam’s ironic and subversive narrative, and Nutini’s paradoxical architectures.

The layout is conceived as a shared organism, an open score where the feminine manifests as a poetic and political gesture of openness. It is a precious opportunity to explore how art can become a tool for transformation and connection in one of the most iconic spaces in Mantua’s historic center. The exhibition is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00.
