The 26th Flicorno d’Oro Enchants Riva del Garda

From March 27th to 29th, Riva del Garda prepares to host the 26th edition of the International Band Competition “Flicorno d’Oro”. An event that will see the participation of musicians from Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia, Croatia, Spain, Austria and Switzerland, transforming the town into a stage of sounds and cultures.

The openness to international musical culture has always been the beating heart of the Flicorno d’Oro. Artistic interaction and creative exchange make this competition one of the most renowned musical events in Europe. The undisputed protagonists will be the music, the participating bands, a prestigious international jury and a carefully selected repertoire, with compulsory pieces that will test the various competing categories.

Born in 1992, the competition has grown steadily, becoming an important opportunity for comparison and musical growth for international band ensembles. Today, it is considered one of the most important in Europe, second only to the World Music Contest (WMC) in Kerkrade, Netherlands. The loyalty of many bands in returning testifies to the quality of the competition and the excellent organization curated by the Flicorno d’Oro Association, in collaboration with the Riva del Garda Band and the Federation of Band Corps of the Province of Trento.

The competition will officially open on Friday, March 27th with the inauguration and a concert. Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March will be dedicated to the competitions, culminating with the proclamation of the winners and an engaging dj set. An unmissable experience for band music lovers and a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Riva del Garda.
