In Malcesine, the community prepares for one of the most cherished annual events: the Feast of the Patron Saints Benigno and Caro. It is a time when history and devotion intertwine with the joy of shared celebration, offering an authentic experience in the heart of Lake Garda.
The day begins with a heartfelt pilgrimage to the Hermitage of Saints Benigno and Caro, a spiritual journey culminating in Holy Mass at 11:00 AM. In the afternoon, the village comes alive with a solemn procession winding through the streets of Malcesine, an ancient ritual preceding the 9:00 PM Mass inside the evocative Castle, where the Saints’ relic bestows a blessing upon the village and its inhabitants.
As evening descends, the former Fraglia area transforms into the vibrant heart of the festival. From 7:00 PM, food stands invite visitors to discover local flavors in an atmosphere of convivial cheer. Music fills the air at 9:00 PM with a concert on the Veliero Circe, where the Funky Gallo band will perform a tribute to Zucchero, creating a wave of sound that drifts across the tranquil waters of the lake. The evening’s crescendo arrives at 11:00 PM, as a magnificent fireworks display illuminates the sky above Malcesine, reflecting magically on Lake Garda’s surface and leaving an indelible memory.
