The Friendship of Rosmini and Manzoni: an exhibition in Rovereto

In Rovereto, the noble rooms of Palazzo Rosmini al Frassem host the exhibition “Dell’amicizia Rosmini e Manzoni”. The event celebrates the intellectual bond between Antonio Rosmini and Alessandro Manzoni, guiding visitors through a selection of paintings, sculptures, and literary works that tell the story of their extraordinary friendship.

The exhibition features portraits of the two figures by Francesco Hayez. To mark the bicentenary of the first publication of The Betrothed (I promessi sposi), the historical 1827 Ventisettana and 1840 Quarantana editions are also on display. The exhibition is open from October 3, 2026, to January 10, 2027, every Thursday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Admission is free. Guided tours for schools, groups, and associations are available every Thursday, subject to mandatory booking via the Cassa Rurale AltoGarda-Rovereto website. This exhibition offers a unique cultural perspective on the historical and artistic context of Italy at that time.
