Theatrical performance “Robe da matti” in Sommacampagna

On October 23rd, at 9:00 PM, the Auditorium Mirella Urbani in Sommacampagna will host the theatrical performance “Robe da matti”, presented by the Compagnia Teatrale Castelrotto.

The show is inspired by the 1978 Basaglia Law, a pivotal moment in Italian psychiatry that led to the closure of psychiatric hospitals and promoted a more humane approach to mental health. While the debate regarding the relevance of this law remains topical today, the play explores these themes through the lens of comedy.

The performance unfolds as a whirlwind of humorous situations, balancing between farce and realism. The characters appearing on stage evoke the tradition of the commedia dell’arte, offering the audience an evening of engaging and thoughtful entertainment.
