Traubenkur: The Grape Cure in Arco

The historic «Traubenkur» event, the ancient grape cure, returns to Arco on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th. A ritual of wellness and tradition that, thanks to the commitment of the Gruppo Costruttori, comes back to life after many years, bringing grapes, wine, and their virtues back to the center. With the patronage of the Municipality of Arco and the Department of Tourism, and the support of the Cassa Rurale Alto-Garda-Rovereto and Assocentro, the event will offer visitors a journey into the past. The Committee will propose the pressing of grapes in view, done by hand with a small press, as it was done in the past: the freshly extracted must, fragrant and sweet, will then be distributed for tasting. In the past, the Grape Cure lasted several days and was considered a real purifying treatment, a sort of panacea to which many tourists also resorted. Today, this tradition returns to tell its story, combining peasant knowledge, health and the simple pleasure of the fruits of the earth. Discover the wine-making excellence of Garda Trentino.
