On November 16th, Sirmione hosts a significant public meeting dedicated to the theme of violence against women and violence in intimate relationships. The event, titled “Quello che non si vede: La violenza sulle donne tra corpo, mente e giustizia” (What remains unseen: Violence against women between body, mind, and justice), is promoted by the Association SìAmo Sirmione in collaboration with the WISH Project (Women Intimate Shelter) of the University of Padua.
The meeting will take place at the Municipal Library and will feature several experts in the field. Speakers include Giulia Melis from the WISH Project, Alessio Bernardi, Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Brescia with expertise in the protection of vulnerable groups, Dr. Vanessa Treccani, a psychologist specializing in criminology and legal psychology, and a representative from the Anti-Violence Center of Salò. This is a moment of necessary reflection to examine the complex dynamics related to this issue through legal, psychological, and social perspectives.
