Winter in Art – Buonconsiglio Castle

To celebrate the spirit of the Winter Olympics, the Buonconsiglio Castle in Trento opens its doors to a unique exhibition: “Winter in Art. Landscapes, Allegories and Daily Life”, scheduled from December 4, 2025 to March 15, 2026. A fascinating journey through time that explores how winter has been told and interpreted by artists through the centuries: from snowy landscapes that evoke silences and suspended atmospheres, to scenes of daily life of the popular classes, immortalized between tiring works and moments of conviviality; from the lavish pastimes of the aristocratic courts to the refined Renaissance and Baroque allegories, in which frost and snow become symbols of metamorphosis and beauty. The exhibition invites visitors to discover the poetic and surprising side of the coldest season, offering a look that intertwines art, history and imagination in a story capable of thrilling young and old.
