Youth World Championship in Arco: The Future of Sport Climbing

Garda Trentino, particularly Arco, is preparing to host the Youth World Championship (YWCH), one of the most important events on the IFSC calendar dedicated to young talents in world sport climbing. From July 18th to 25th, 2026, the Federal Technical Center of Arco, recently renovated, will be the beating heart of this international competition.

Arco boasts a solid tradition in organizing sport climbing events, having hosted the first Paraclimbing World Championships in 2011 and six editions of the IFSC World Cup Series. This event confirms Arco as a global reference point for climbing.

Approximately 650 athletes under 17 and under 19 from 60 countries are expected to participate, accompanied by 180 coaches and medical staff. In total, over 1,000 participants and 100 staff members are estimated for eight days of high-level competition.
