What is the most beautiful and complete way to visit an area, without missing a single landscape, and staying in front of it without clutter and hassle? A nice guided e-bike tour!

Lake Garda has always been a popular destination for those seeking nature, history and relaxation. But for those who love cycling, this area offers something even more special: a cycling tour that combines scenic beauty, historic villages and authentic flavours.
Today we take you on a journey on two wheels, in the company of Fabio Boeti of Bike Experience, between Peschiera del Garda, Borghetto sul Mincio, Monzambano and Castellaro Lagusello; a gentle and evocative route, ideal for a half-day of discovery in the open air, even with your four-legged friends and children.

Departure from Peschiera del Garda: between walls and waters
Our journey begins in Peschiera del Garda, a fortified town on the southern shore of the lake. The historic centre, enclosed by canals and UNESCO World Heritage-listed Venetian walls, is perfect for a coffee by the water before climbing into the saddle. The Mincio cycle path, one of the most popular routes in northern Italy, starts here and connects Peschiera to Mantua along the course of the river of the same name.

Borghetto sul Mincio: a fairytale corner
After about 12 kilometres of flat pedalling surrounded by greenery, you arrive at Borghetto sul Mincio, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Water mills, stone houses and the majestic Visconti Bridge form the backdrop to an enchanted place where time seems to stand still.
A compulsory stop to take some photos and perhaps taste a dish of tortellini di Valeggio, a true local speciality.

Monzambano: between hills and vineyards
Continuing inland, you reach Monzambano, a hilltop village dominated by a medieval castle. Here the atmosphere changes: you leave the course of the Mincio River to climb gently among vineyards, vegetable gardens and old houses. The panorama opens onto the morainic countryside, offering postcard views and a perfect balance between nature and rural architecture.

Castellaro Lagusello: the romantic heart of the hinterland
The last stop on our itinerary is Castellaro Lagusello, a tiny fortified village overlooking a heart-shaped lake. Also listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castellaro captivates with its ancient houses and the silence suspended between history and nature. A walk to the belvedere over the lake is the best way to end this wonderful excursion.

Info and tips
The complete round trip is 35-40 kilometres long; it lasts, including stops, about 4-5 hours; and it is mostly flat.
The best times to do it are certainly spring and autumn, without, however, excluding some beautiful sunny winter days.
During the high summer season, on the other hand, it is advisable to set off early in the morning to enjoy the tranquillity and slightly cooler temperatures.
This tour is also ideal for beginner cyclists; where there is a slight difference in altitude, the e-bike becomes a valuable ally: let’s say it is like having a mini Piaggio Ciao to support your pedalling!
Children up to 5-6 years of age can be transported safely in the trolley.

In conclusion, cycle touring in the Lower Garda region is much more than just cycling. It is a journey through time and space, among villages and avenues that look like paintings, idyllic landscapes and authentic traditions.
A perfect experience for those looking for a different kind of day, full of movement and beauty.
