Borgo Roma in Verona is preparing to host a special day dedicated to sustainability, participation, and a vibrant community spirit. On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the neighbourhood’s streets will transform into a large, widespread festival, an invitation to rediscover the value of shared spaces and new connections.
Promoted by the Municipality of Verona and coordinated by Nuova Acropoli Verona OdV, “Sustainability Sunday” will see over 25 associative entities animate a rich and varied programme. From 10:00 to 18:00, parts of via Scuderlando, via Redipuglia, via Centro, and via Monfalcone will be pedestrianized, offering a unique setting for an immersive experience. There will be creative workshops, live music performances, sports activities, and events designed for children, along with informative and cultural stands, all focused on enhancing the neighbourhood and raising environmental awareness.

A significant aspect of this edition will be the extraordinary opening of the green area of IC 10-11, typically not accessible to the public. Thanks to the collaboration with the school and AMIA Verona, the garden will transform into a lively and shared space for families and citizens, hosting an “Ecology Fair” and various sports activities.
Via Redipuglia will be a crossroads of cultures and knowledge, with associations offering workshops inspired by world traditions, cultural demonstrations, and tastings. Via Centro will host dance schools, art exhibitions, and personal growth paths, while via Monfalcone will be the scene of environmental initiatives, astronomical observations, and a music contest for emerging young artists. Local businesses will also contribute with music and convivial moments, making the day an opportunity to slow down, connect, and experience Borgo Roma from a renewed perspective. A free initiative, open to all, to celebrate community together.
