Das Weisse Stadion: An Olympic Cinema Classic in Trento

On February 15th, Harpo Lab in Trento hosts a special screening of “Das Weisse Stadion” (The White Stadium), a documentary film by Arnold Fanck from 1928. This historic film, supported by the International Olympic Committee, captures the emotions of the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. It will be screened in its original language with Italian and English subtitles, making it accessible to an international audience.

The event includes an introduction by Mauro Gervasini and a subsequent debate, offering a critical and in-depth perspective on this important piece of cinematic and sporting history. The screening will be held at Harpo Lab, in Piazza Giovanni Battista Garzetti, 24, at 10:30 AM. Admission is free for matinées at Harpolab and Centro Congressi Pinè 1000, while a ticket of €5 is required for screenings at Supercinema Vittoria and Multisala G.
