The timeless allure of film scores that have shaped cinematic history comes to life in Villafranca di Verona. On July 11, 2026, the Villafranca Castle will host “È mio padre – Morricone dirige Morricone,” a unique musical journey curated and directed by Andrea Morricone, son of the legendary Maestro Ennio. The audience will experience what is considered the most faithful and intimate representation of the Morricone repertoire.
More than just a tribute, it’s a narrative blending technical mastery with heartfelt emotion. Andrea Morricone, a composer and conductor himself, has dedicated his life to his father’s music while also composing his own scores, including the famous love theme from Cinema Paradiso, which won a Bafta Award.

In this concert, the audience will hear the music as Ennio originally composed it, thanks to the original scores preserved by Andrea. Marco Morricone, author of “Ennio Morricone, il genio l’uomo il padre,” will enrich the evening with unpublished anecdotes, revealing an authentic portrait of the musical genius.
The concert opens with the notes of Once Upon a Time in the West, immersing the audience in the great film scores, accompanied by exclusive images. The voices of the Choir and soprano Vittoriana De Amicis, together with the grand Orchestra, will create a crescendo of intensity and emotion. The event is organized by Eventi Verona Srl and produced by IMARTS – International Music and Arts, with Radio Capital as a tour partner.
