On October 24th, starting at 10:00 AM, Verona offers a unique opportunity to explore two treasures of its historic center. Palazzo Scarpa, a masterpiece of contemporary architecture designed by Carlo Scarpa starting in 1973, will be open to the public alongside the fascinating Domus Romana located inside. The restoration of the building’s facades has revived its intricate details while fully respecting the original vision, offering visitors an excellent example of the integration between modern architecture and the ancient city fabric.
The tour includes the Domus Romana, which dates back to the late 1st century BC and was later enhanced between the 2nd and 3rd century AD with polychrome mosaics, representing one of the best-preserved examples of Roman construction in Northern Italy. The event, promoted by Banca Popolare di Verona, offers free guided tours with open admission and no reservation required.
