- 📍 Location: Gonzaga
From July 29th to August 22nd, Mantua’s surroundings host a compelling anthropological exhibition in Gonzaga: Film-Holder – Photographs 1978-1984 by Fabio Cavazzoli. The project emerges from the discovery of a private archive of negatives, evolving into a thoughtful reflection on peasant civilization at a time of transition between traditional rural life and rapid industrialization.
The artist’s careful black-and-white treatment restores dignity to a world defined by hard work and deep-rooted customs. The exhibition creates a visual dialogue with the works of Dino Villani and pieces from Moreno Gentili’s Habitat series. Beyond photography, the program includes evening events ranging from the literature of Adone Nosari to a documentary film dedicated to the artist Italo Lanfredini, offering a multidisciplinary perspective on local culture.
