Flair and Elegance at Palazzo Taddei: Fashionable Fabrics in the 18th Century

Immerse yourself in the elegance of the 18th century in Rovereto, where Palazzo Taddei hosts a temporary exhibition dedicated to the exquisite textile art. From July 4th to September 28th, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can admire fashionable fabrics, paintings, and everyday objects that compose a rich fresco of a society that loved luxury.

The exhibition is divided into nine thematic sections, guiding visitors through the evolution of 18th-century decorative motifs: from *bizarre* fabrics, with their abstract and imaginative decorations, to lace fabrics, floral meanders, and vertical stripes, which were fashionable at the end of the century.

The exhibition also includes a section dedicated to the noble life of the Taddei barons, with furnishings, furniture, and accessories, and the charming loom room, where a rare example of a wooden velvet loom illustrates the complex processing technique of these precious fabrics. A unique opportunity to discover the cultural richness of 18th-century textile production in the splendid setting of Palazzo Taddei. Curated by Alessandra Geromel Pauletti, in collaboration with Laura Dal Prà, Maddalena Ferrari, and Dario De Cristofaro, the exhibition is open on the indicated days from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Free admission and guided tours every Saturday at 10:30 am.
