Momix presents Botanica – Season 2 at the Roman Theatre in Verona

From July 27th to August 8th, 2026, the Roman Theatre of Verona hosts the return of the renowned Momix company with “Botanica – Season 2”. This new interpretation of Moses Pendleton’s original work is a highlight of the Verona Theatre Summer festival, directed by Fabrizio Arcuri.

Building upon the international success of the 2008 production, the American company explores the relationship between movement and the natural world. Pendleton has revisited his “original garden,” introducing new visual projections and scenic elements that allow the stage to evolve into a living, breathing landscape. Over the course of 90 minutes, dancers transform into botanical forms, merging athletic dance with visual illusion and shadow play.

This performance perfectly aligns with the mission of the 78th Verona Theatre Summer, which seeks to connect the historical heritage of Verona with contemporary artistic expressions. It offers an evocative experience where energy, light, and perception converge, showcasing the mastery that has defined Momix for over four decades.
