On October 24th and 25th, the city of Verona hosts the National Conference on Traditional Bell Ringing Art, organized by the National Federation of Bell Ringers to celebrate the designation of this craft as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The schedule for Saturday, October 24th, begins at 10:00 AM at the Società Letteraria with the conference, followed by a bell concert in Piazza Bra at 11:30 AM and the ringing of the Rengo at 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, there will be a visit and ascent to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. At 4:00 PM, the conference continues at the Museo degli Affreschi “G. B. Cavalcaselle” Tomba di Giulietta with a presentation by Maurizio Bertazzolo. The day concludes with bell concerts at 5:15 PM at the San Nicolò all’Arena church and at 6:00 PM at the Basilica of Saint Anastasia.

On Sunday, October 25th, activities start at 10:00 AM with a visit to the collection of ancient bronze bells at the Castelvecchio Museum. The program continues with visits and ascents to San Giorgio in Braida at 11:30 AM and to Sant’Anastasia at 3:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, a guided tour of underground Verona is scheduled, followed by performances with a mobile bell tower at 5:00 PM.
