On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the historic center of Trento comes alive with the historic Santa Croce Fair, also affectionately known as the Ladder Fair. This fair, one of the oldest in Trentino, has its roots in the distant 13th century. Originally located in Via Santa Croce, it later moved to Piazza di Fiera and, finally, to Piazza Duomo, maintaining its connection with the beating heart of the city. Once renowned for the sale of wooden ladders, essential for agriculture and crafts, today the fair has evolved into a lively open-air market. Among the stalls you can find flowers, plants, household items and typical Trentino products such as honey, cheeses and cured meats. The Santa Croce Fair is an unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of Trento, strolling through its streets and discovering the excellences of the territory.
