Shakespearean Matinées at Teatro Satiro OFF in Verona: A Unique Cultural Experience

Verona welcomes a new cultural offering with the “Shakespearean Matinées” at Teatro Satiro OFF. In collaboration with Casa Shakespeare, this initiative presents morning performances, designed to broaden access to theatre at an unusual time.

As part of the Shakespeare 2026 festival, Casa Shakespeare presents plays in dual languages and period costumes, inspired by William Shakespeare’s masterpieces. An international theatre that combines artistic rigour, immediacy, and dialogue with the audience, keeping the Shakespearean tradition alive in a contemporary and accessible form.

The schedule includes:
* February 12 – Romeo & Juliet
* May 14 – Antony and Cleopatra
* June 18 – Macbeth
* September 24 – Welfare Lear
* October 22 – Henry V, If you want peace, prepare for war?
* November 19 – Female Shakespeare

This initiative is part of the Cultural Olympiad of Milano Cortina 2026, promoting Olympic values through culture, heritage, and sport.
