Srebrenica: Remembrance and Reflection in Gonzaga

Srebrenica 1995: Memory of a Genocide

A poignant event in the heart of Gonzaga, at the Ex Convento di S. Maria, to remember the horrors of the war in Bosnia. The presentation of the essay “Mass Rape as a Weapon of War” by Cecilia Frignani invites us to reflect on Europe’s still open wounds.

A journey through the history of the war in Bosnia Herzegovina (1992-1995), with a focus on the siege of Sarajevo and the Srebrenica genocide, the worst massacre in Europe after the Second World War. An opportunity to honor the memory and understand the present.
