Two hundred years after the birth of Fyodor Dostoevsky, his voice returns to question the present with surprising relevance. Teatro Ristori presents “Notti” (Nights), a contemporary reinterpretation of White Nights, blending theatrical language and live video. The show, directed by Rajeev Badhan and Elena Strada, features three performers embodying a complex narrative built on parallel planes and intersecting dimensions.
There are nights that seem to never end, suspended between desire and solitude, between imagination and reality. From this fragile space, “Notti” is born, a show that explores the complexity of human relationships through theater. Not a mere transposition, but a contemporary traversal of Dostoevsky’s work, capable of creating dialogue between eras and languages.
The 19th-century tale of the “dreamer” transforms into living material, reinterpreted in light of today’s frailties and contradictions.
