From August 13th to 16th, the village of Grazie di Curtatone becomes an open-air stage for the Antichissima Fiera delle Grazie. With roots dating back to 1425, this event represents a unique blend of spirituality and popular creativity, celebrating this year the theme "The Message of Saint Francis in the Colors of the Madonnari" to mark the 800th anniversary of the Saint’s passing.
The event hosts the 52nd National Meeting of the Madonnari, which for the 2026 edition introduces significant innovations. Artists will have two nights to create their masterpieces on the Sanctuary’s parvis, allowing the public to witness the transformation of the asphalt into a gallery of ephemeral art. The introduction of a special base preparation technique, inspired by the studies of Kurt Wenner, will ensure superior color rendering, further elevating the quality of this sacred art form.

The fair confirms its international scope, welcoming talents from all over the world. The official artwork, created by Giulia Monzani, depicts Saint Francis in an ideal dialogue with the Virgin of the Graces, incorporating natural elements from the Mincio Park.
