‘The Beginning’: Art and Women’s Encounters in Rovereto

The Urban Center in Rovereto hosted, from November 9th to 25th, 2019, a touching and stimulating event dedicated to art and women. The sculpture exhibition by the artist Roberto Lorenzini framed a series of meaningful encounters, creating a space for reflection and dialogue.

The inauguration of the exhibition, enriched by the musical notes of “The mechanical bak”, kicked off a series of events. Among these, the evening dedicated to Alba Chiara Baroni, a young victim of femicide, and the presentation of a project born in her memory. There were also moments of inspiration with “Women in Sport”, a meeting with Jessica Leonardi, world champion of U.C.I. gran fondo cycling.

The event also addressed legal issues with the meeting on the “Red Code”, a legislative novelty discussed with the C.P.O. of the Rovereto Bar Association. An “Aperitivo with the artist Roberto Lorenzini” offered an informal opportunity to get to know the artist’s work up close, while the meeting “The Face of Women”, at the Fabio Filzi High School, concluded the review with a profound reflection on the role and representation of women in society.
