The crafts of a valley: a journey into the past in Rovereto

A day in Pinterreno di Terragnolo, a hamlet of Rovereto, dedicated to the rediscovery of ancient crafts. On August 24th, the Terragnolo Valley transforms into an open-air workshop, celebrating the manual skills and rural culture of arts and crafts of past traditions.

Through practical and creative workshops, live demonstrations, tastings, stories, exhibitions and meetings, visitors can observe, try and ask questions. There will be activities such as natural dyeing with mulberries and silkworms, crochet workshops, haymaking with ancient tools, wood sawing demonstrations, basket weaving, tile making, dry stone wall construction and charcoal preparation.

There will also be moments dedicated to buckwheat, with a culinary workshop to learn how to make fanzelto, roasting and tasting barley coffee, meetings on wild herbs and fruits, sale of local cheeses and honeys with guided tastings. There will also be a space dedicated to the Cimbrian language and culture, with Cimbrian songs. Children can enjoy games and legends of grandparents, while art lovers can try their hand at watercolor painting.

The event will be held from 10:00 to 18:00. The participation fee is €10 per person. In case of bad weather, the event is guaranteed.
