“The Diaries” by Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi at the Mart in Rovereto

The Mart, museum of modern and contemporary art in Rovereto, presents “Angela’s Diaries. We Two Filmmakers. Chapter Two”, the latest addition to its Collections. The work is the result of a collaboration with Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi, a historical duo who have dedicated decades to investigating the great dramas of the 20th century through rediscovered films and archival materials.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into the complex and personal cinematographic experience with which Gianikian and Ricci Lucchi have preserved and pieced together the most tragic stories of the twentieth century. On display, the work interacts with the “Twentieth Century Triptych”, a video installation co-produced by the Mart and re-staged for the occasion.

The Mart is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Friday from 10:00 to 21:00. Closed on Mondays. Tickets: full price € 11.00; reduced (young people 15-26 years, over 65s, groups) € 7.00; free up to 14 years, Friends of the Museum and school groups. A family ticket is also available for € 22.00 and a single ticket for the 3 venues (Mart, Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero, Galleria Civica Trento). Free admission every first Sunday of the month.
