The Games on the Path of Peace in Rovereto: A unique experience blending history and sports

On June 7th, Rovereto hosted a special event, “The Games on the Path of Peace,” an initiative by the Autonomous Province of Trento and CONI to celebrate the 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. The event took place simultaneously along the evocative Path of Peace, a route that traces the front lines of the Great War, from the Marmolada to the Adamello.

The day began with institutional greetings from local authorities and representatives of the Olympic Committee, followed by a performance by five student choirs, each representing one of the five Olympic rings. The choirs Minicoro di Rovereto, Coro Voci Stellate di Caldes, Coro Notemagia di Lizzana, Piccolo Coro Arcobaleno di Levico Terme, and the Coro della Scuola Media Bresadola offered an emotional performance.

Subsequently, participants embarked on a guided walk along the Path of Nobel Laureates, enriched with insights and historical accounts. At the end of the excursion, there was the opportunity to visit the Campana dei Caduti and the Museum of the Opera Campana Foundation, exceptionally opened for the occasion. Each participant received an official commemorative bag of the 2026 Olympics and Paralympics.

The event represented a unique opportunity to combine sports, history, and reflection, promoting a message of peace and honoring the Olympic truce.
