The historic center of Verona is once again preparing to celebrate the spirit of tradition. From September 18th to 20th, 2026, the Veronetta district will host the 24th edition of Tocatì, the International Street Games Festival. This event, promoted by the Associazione Giochi Antichi, honors traditional games, which have been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The 2026 edition features Ireland as the guest country. For three days, the streets of Verona will come alive with historic disciplines such as Gaelic Football and Hurling, offering the public a profound immersion into Gaelic culture. Beyond the games, the program includes craftsmanship workshops, such as the construction of the Currach, and sessions dedicated to traditional music, featuring the evocative sounds of Uillean Pipes and the Celtic harp.
