Vivi Giazza 2026: traditions and culture in Lessinia

Giazza, in the municipality of Selva di Progno, hosts a year-long program of events dedicated to local roots and community spirit. The Vivi Giazza 2026 calendar offers a journey through nature, history, and local folklore.

The schedule begins on Saturday, May 23rd, with the Ecological Day, an opportunity to care for the local environment. On Tuesday, June 23rd, the 28th Fire Festival “Vaur Ljetzan” celebrates the ancient Cimbrian traditions with historical reenactments and performances. On Sunday, July 19th, the Giazza Market will bring crafts and local flavors to the village streets. On August 9th, the 30th anniversary of the Giazza Calcara will be celebrated with a documentary screening dedicated to the community’s historical memory.

Autumn will be marked on Sunday, October 18th, by the Chestnut Festival and Mulled Wine event, featuring traditional songs and dances. During the Christmas season, the village will host the “Canto della Stella” tradition.
