The Roman Theatre of Verona is set to host one of the most original voices of the international contemporary scene on July 20 and 21, 2026. The Yoann Bourgeois Art Company presents The Infinite Approach, a highlight of the 78th Verona Theatrical Summer.
The performance represents the culmination of over fifteen years of choreographic research into the delicate balance between the human body and gravity. Through a language that blends dance, circus, and visual arts, Bourgeois explores the concept of the Unattainable Suspension Point, that fleeting moment where ascent meets fall. Together with dancer Yurie Tsugawa and accompanied by the live piano of Matteo Bevilacqua, the French artist transforms the stage into an ever-changing device. The music of Bach, Schubert, and Satie engages with the performers’ trajectories, using everyday elements like chairs and stairs to question human fragility.
