The Zandonai Theatre in Rovereto reveals itself in a unique performance, a tale that intertwines the history of the theatre with that of the city. Three actors bring to life the characters who have marked the milestones of this symbolic place, from as far back as 1784, when Count Francesco Alberti Poja and other notables decided to finance its birth, to the dark years of the First World War, when the theatre became a munitions depot and horse stable. The journey continues until the 1920s, with a young Riccardo Zandonai taking his first steps in music.
Spectators will be able to discover the theatre’s lesser-visited places, on a journey full of events and characters that reach up to the present day. At the end of the visit, in the theatre’s “reduced”, the local wineries will offer a glass of wine for tasting, a combination of culture and local flavours. The event will be held on 23 November, 7 and 20 December 2025 at 18:00-20:00. Admission 8 €, max 35 people.
