  • 📍 Location: Trento e dintorni

The National Historical Museum of the Alpine Troops in Trento hosts a touching and unusual exhibition: “Bacchus and Tobacco – The Pastimes (few) of the Alpine Soldier in the Great War”.

The exhibition focuses on the moments of leisure and creativity that soldiers managed to find in the trenches during the First World War. Through explanatory panels and original artifacts from private collections, the exhibition tells a lesser-known but profoundly human aspect of life on the front.

Visitors can admire objects, materials and listen to stories that testify to the ingenuity, resilience and daily life of the military during the conflict. An intimate and engaging journey into the history of the Great War, offered free of charge to visitors, families and enthusiasts.

A precious opportunity to deepen historical memory and discover a significant chapter of the Alpine cultural heritage a few steps from Trento.
