Summer comes alive with the return of ‘La corte dell’Astra’, a festival dedicating over a month to performing arts and cinema. From June 29 to July 31, 2026, the Cinema Teatro Astra will host twenty-one events designed to engage a diverse audience, from families to enthusiasts of prose and art-house cinema.
The curtain rises on Monday, June 29, with ‘Le peripezie del Gobbo Doro’, a show for younger audiences, inaugurating a calendar rich in proposals for children. Every Monday and Wednesday in July, classic fairy tales and fantastic characters will come to life, offering moments of enchantment and discovery. Featured shows include ‘Il Principe Rospo’, ‘La torta delle fate’, and ‘La Bella e la Bestia’, alongside innovative productions such as ‘Plan-Bi’ and ‘Buon viaggio Pipì’.

For adult audiences, the prose program will explore profound themes and diverse theatrical languages. ‘Se te ghe fussi ti’ will evoke local memory through a family story intertwined with war, while ‘Novecento’ invites an imaginary journey aboard a ship. Civil theatre finds expression with ‘Il fuggitivo’, a narrative that leads from the post-war Lessinia to the Sulcis mines.
