Pam, Bondola e Vim: Riva del Garda’s Heartfelt Celebration

As summer arrives, Riva del Garda embraces a cherished tradition, a moment of genuine community spirit that brings everyone together. The 46th edition of Pam, Bondola e Vim, meticulously organised by La Bacionela Club, extends an invitation to gather in Piazza 3 Novembre for a day of festivity and shared enjoyment.

On June 21, precisely at the tenth chime of the historic Torre Apponale bells, the square awakens with a unique atmosphere. This occasion marks a generous, complimentary distribution of authentic local flavours. The undeniable star of the event is an impressive ten-quintal mortadella from Veroni, which makes its way to the municipal porticoes in a charming procession, escorted by the fire brigade and accompanied by the city’s band.

Here, a dedicated team of volunteers passionately prepares around twenty thousand filled sandwiches, a gesture of hospitality that is renewed each year. To complement these delightful offerings, 1200 litres of red and white wine, alongside other beverages, are provided to enhance the tasting experience. It is an opportunity to savour the simplicity of local tradition, where good food and a glass of wine merge with the joy of togetherness. This festive gathering unfolds from morning until late afternoon, continuing until all provisions have been shared. A true embodiment of the community spirit in Riva del Garda.
