Passione: 12 Projects for Italian Art at the Mart in Rovereto

The Mart, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, hosted “Passione,” an exhibition in collaboration with the VAF Foundation, curated by Daniela Ferrari and Denis Isaia. This exhibition celebrated the VAF-Stiftung, the largest collection on deposit at the Mart, showcasing masterpieces by modern and contemporary masters.

For an entire semester, the exhibition occupied the galleries dedicated to temporary exhibitions, offering a journey through 12 lines of inquiry into 20th-century painting and sculpture. Among the artists exhibited were names of the calibre of Medardo Rosso, Carlo Carrà, and Giorgio de Chirico.

In conjunction with “Passione,” the 8th edition of the VAF Foundation Prize took place, a prestigious award given to Italian artists under 40. During the preview of the exhibition, the winner was announced among the finalists, including Nico Angiuli and Silvia Giambrone.

The Mart, located in Corso Bettini, is a cultural reference point for art lovers. The “Passione” exhibition represented a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the richness and diversity of Italian artistic research, offering an in-depth look at the works of established masters and emerging talents.
