Each year, the community of Valvestino prepares to celebrate the Feast of San Vigilio, an event that blends devotion, history, and the pleasure of conviviality within a natural setting of rare beauty. On June 27, 2026, a day awaits you, designed to explore the deep roots of this territory, accompanied by the tranquility of the landscape.
The experience begins promptly at 9:00 AM, with a meeting point at Località Lignago, a place steeped in history, marked by the old plaque of the former Austro-Hungarian border, right beside the bridge crossing the picturesque Lago di Valvestino. From here, you can embark on a free guided walk, a route of approximately four kilometers that leads to Droane in about two hours. This is an opportunity to appreciate the silence of the woods and the crispness of the air. Remember to book your participation to ensure an enjoyable shared experience.
The heart of the celebration then moves to the San Vigilio Chapel, where at 11:00 AM, Holy Mass will be celebrated. This moment of reflection culminates with the traditional distribution of blessed bread, a gesture that for generations has renewed the connection with local customs.
