The Instant of Grace: Annunciations by Giuseppe Bazzani in Mantua

The Museo Diocesano Francesco Gonzaga in Mantua hosts the exhibition “The Instant of Grace – Annunciations by Giuseppe Bazzani”. The exhibition originates from an exchange with the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, which has loaned a valuable canvas depicting the Annunciation.

The theme of the Annunciation, central to Bazzani’s career, is explored through five works, including the one from the Uffizi and four others from private collections. The exhibition celebrates the meaning of the Annunciation in relation to the Christmas and Easter festivities.

The exhibition will be held in the Red Room of the museum and is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday (excluding Christmas, New Year’s Day and Easter) from 9:30 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 17:30. An illustrated publication is available at the museum bookshop. Curated by Augusto Morari, with the collaboration of Beatrice Cristini and the support of private lenders such as Liliana Rimini and Tommaso Ferruda. Info: www.museofrancescogonzaga.it
