Tourism and hospitality in Rovereto: Identity of mountain territories

The ‘Mountain Tourism 2025’ event, held on November 12, 2025, at the Campana dei Caduti in Rovereto, will explore the importance of the identity of alpine territories as an engine for tourism growth. The Alpine regions are not only places of passage, but meeting spaces where the cultural exchange between tourists and local communities generates opportunities for mutual growth. The event will focus on how the narration of local identity can support and strengthen the tourist vocation, stimulating an “identity-based” tourism, competitive and lasting.

Through conferences, workshops, events and exhibitions, the initiative will involve students, tour operators, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives. A highlight will be the talk “Urban identities as a tourist destination. Rovereto City of Peace celebrates the Centenary of the Campana dei Caduti Maria Dolens”, a reflection on the value of historical memory and the symbolic heritage of the city.

The event, which will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, includes institutional greetings and speeches by experts such as Yuri Basilicò (creator of “Va’ sentiero”), Valentina Cappio (Trentino Marketing), Marco Mondini (University of Padua), Carla Costa (Rovereto Vallagarina e Monte Baldo Tourist Board) and Raimondo Sinibaldi (European Association Romea Strata). The conclusions will be curated by Alessandro Franceschini. This will be followed by a performance by the Minicoro of Rovereto and the Coro Sant’Ilario.
