Within the vibrant cultural landscape of Trento, a journey of profound rediscovery unfolds. This is an invitation to explore the tapestry of time through art, music, and anthropology. From May to October 2026, the Diocesan Museum hosts ‘Il Tempo di un Dialogo’ (A Time for Dialogue), a series of encounters designed to blend scientific research with an engaging narrative experience.
This project offers a fresh perspective on Trentino, placing it within the broader European context and traversing five centuries of history, from the 16th to the 20th. These are not merely exhibitions, but genuine performative dialogues, where visual artworks merge with evocative sounds and anthropological narratives. They recreate the atmospheres and transformations of past eras that still resonate in our present day.

Led by cultural anthropologist Marta Villa and musician Carlo Centemeri, these events are enriched by art historians Domizio Cattoi, the museum’s director, and Caterina Floriani. Their expertise illuminates often-hidden works, offering the public new insights and a more intimate connection with the heritage preserved both within the museum and across the Trentino valleys.
