Alpine Imagery: Photographic Excursions in the Alinari Archives in Trento

From December 13, 2025, to June 7, 2026, Trento hosts, in the evocative spaces of Le Gallerie di Piedicastello, a historical photography exhibition that invites visitors on a fascinating journey into the heart of the Alps. A narrative in images that reveals the mountain as a space of life and memory, a place of relationships, passages, and encounters, where visual anthropology and cultural landscape intertwine in a profound and timeless dialogue.

Through the extraordinary images from the Alinari Archives, faces, gestures, and human landscapes emerge, often for the first time, telling stories of transits, resistances, and memories. The photographs reveal an unprecedented portrait of the Alpine space, where past and present intertwine in a continuous dialogue between highlands and valley floors, tradition and modernity, gazes and practices of daily life.

A poetic and powerful journey into the heart of the mountains, discovering the cultural and human roots that have shaped the identity of the Alps. Admission is free.
