Erbezzo celebrates Monte Veronese DOP: A journey into the heart of Lessinia’s flavour

This is an unmissable event for those wishing to delve into local culinary culture and discover one of its most prized products.

On May 31, 2026, the squares and streets of Erbezzo will come alive with an exhibition and sale of dairy products directly from the producers of the Consorzio di Tutela. It will be a special opportunity to meet the artisans of taste, listen to their stories, and purchase a unique cheese, the result of centuries of tradition and passion.

The day will be filled with activities designed for all ages. Children, and adults alike, can try their hand at the “An hour as a cheesemaker” workshop, transforming fresh milk into a real caciotta under the guidance of experts. This engaging experience reveals the secrets of cheesemaking. There will also be a traditional costume parade, culminating in the awarding of the “Best Monte Veronese DOP” in various stages of aging, a recognition that celebrates the excellence and dedication of the producers.

For discerning palates, the Pro Loco’s food stand will offer typical Lessinia dishes, while a guided tasting session will allow visitors to appreciate the nuances of Monte Veronese DOP, including the esteemed Slow Food Presidium mountain pasture variant. The festival will be enlivened by music from the Grezzana Town Band and Cimbrian accordions, with the chance to witness live cheese creation in the square.
