GardaTrek Top Loop 4: Towards the Balcony over Garda
Get ready for a challenging but incredibly rewarding hike! This section of the GardaTrek takes you from Dro to the summit of Monte Stivo, offering breathtaking views of Lake Garda and the Dolomites. You’ll tackle almost 2000 meters of elevation gain, ascending the calcareous slopes overlooking the Sarca Valley.
The route crosses vineyards, ancient chestnut forests, and alpine pastures, culminating in a 360° view from the summit of Monte Stivo. Along the way, you’ll walk the evocative “Sentiero della Maestra” (Teacher’s Path), linked to a local story and equipped with a rope in an exposed section.
