On November 14, the Lake Ledro Pile Dwelling Museum hosts “Il pane racconta”, an event dedicated to the history of bread-making. The program begins at 14:30 with “Pane al pane, libro al libro”, an activity for children aged 5 to 8 organized with the Valle di Ledro Library. Through storytelling and a creative workshop using bamboo and cereals, children will learn about the journey of grain, followed by a snack with “Pane delle Palafitte”. This activity is free upon reservation at +39 0464 508182.
At 18:00, the focus shifts to the history and archaeology of bread with the presentation of the book “Panis. Storia e archeologia del pane e della panificazione” by author Martina Tapinassi. The session explores ancient techniques and tools. The day continues with a Taste Workshop by Slow Food Trentino, focusing on ancient grains such as spelt, rye, millet, and buckwheat. Through a guided tasting of dishes prepared by a chef, participants will discover the characteristics and culinary uses of these cereals. The 18:00 activities have free admission.
